The Prairie Family Business Association Board School is designed for family business owners seeking to establish, refine, or gain a deeper understanding of fiduciary and advisory boards. This 12-month immersive program equips participants with the tools, knowledge, and strategies necessary to create effective boards that support long-term growth, governance, and sustainability.
Through expert-led and interactive sessions in addition to real-world case studies attendees will explore key topics such as board formation, roles and responsibilities, governance best practices, and fostering collaboration between family and independent board members. Whether you’re looking to build a new board or enhance an existing one, the Board School empowers family business leaders to harness the full potential of board leadership for their family business to thrive through generations.
Sessions will kick off on April 29th with a full day workshop in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Monthly engagements throughout the next year will be available in a hybrid format to enable attendees from the region and the country to attend.
The 2025-26 Board School includes:
- A full-day kickoff on April 29th – day before Annual Conference
- Monthly events: 6 in-depth sessions + 6 mini sessions
- Access to Board School video series
- Balance Point book, including worksheets and appendices
- Graduation in April 2026
Fees/Admission
- $2,999 for two (2) participants
- $1,899 for individual (1) participant
- PFBA Membership required to participate
**Refund requests will be reviewed on a case by case basis. Any refunds will be applied as credit with Prairie Family Business Association to be used for member or event fees. No cash or credit card refunds will be given.
